Since its creation in January 2000, Associazione Culturale Situazione Xplosiva (co-founders are Sergio Ricciardone, Roberto Spallacci, Giorgio Valletta) has strongly contributed in creating a new context for the development of a recognisable contemporary electronic music culture in Piemonte and in Italy.
In 7 years since its birth, Associazione Culturale Situazione Xplosiva has become a reference point in Italy and Europe for the Italian electronic dance scene. Its main elements include special attention to new electronic music styles, innovative communication, connections and strong interactions with other art forms, partnerships with local governments, culture institutes and many European music partners and festivals.
Xplosiva has been working on many club’s programming, together with local, national and international promoters and organizers.
Associazione Culturale Situazione Xplosiva also created and organises every year the international festival of contemporary electronic music Club To Club in Turin (www.clubtoclub.it), whose seventh edition will take place in Turin and Barcelona in November 2007.
Also, Regione Piemonte and Situazione Xplosiva have created and developed since September 2002 PiemonteGroove, a project aimed to promote the Piedmontese dance/electronic music scene.
In its essence, Associazione Culturale Situazione Xplosiva is a contemporary project about dj & club culture, music & arts events, sound design, innovative communication, booking, agit prop, heart beats & feelings.
Associazione Culturale Situazione Xplosiva in action
Situazione Xplosiva can develop cultural events and productions in the following fields:
- Events: Creation, organization and art direction of musical events; logistic optimizing and advice for technical choices. Situazione Xplosiva is specialized in electronic music.
- Organization and art direction of club nights and events in cultural venues.
- Art direction and co-ordination of programming in clubs and venues.
- Music soundtracks for exhibitions, fashion events and websites; ads, sound design.
- Sound design for urban areas, parks and special environments.
- Production of radio and tv programmes, concerning the musical world with a special attention on the dance-electronic scene.
- Booking for national and international dj’s, vj’s and musicians.
- Press office for cultural and entertainment events.
- Advice for promotional campaigns linked to musical and cultural events.
- Production of dance-electronic music compilations linked to the promotion of cultural events or commercial products.
- Visual arts, production of videos, dvd’s, web design, vj live performances, especially for companies linked to the dance-electronic movement.
