A GREAT SYMPHONY

— Augmented reality city soundtrack

Young talented Italian and international musicians under the guidance of an extraordinary tutor give life to A Great Symphony, a format created by Xplosiva for British Council: an exclusive soundtrack for the most evocative places in a city. It’s a contemporary electronic music work, which is able through music and technology to give life to an original experiment of augmented reality. Tourists, lovers of art and music as well as the inhabitants of the city can listen to the symphony by simply scanning the QR Codes placed in the respective areas. The project’s Turinese edition was introduced at the same time as Luci d’Artista and it involved as a tutor Steve Goodman aka Kode9, founder of the influential Hyperdub label. A Great Symphony landed also in Milan, with a totem at Porta Garibaldi station, and has involved 18 artists from every part of Europe.

INNOVATIVE PROJECTS AND MUSIC CONSULTING

Since 2000, Xplosiva’s visionary spirit took us to devise projects and collaborate with important brands and prestigious cultural institutions, thus maximizing relationships amongst different languages and styles, and involving young Italian and European people who love new forms of creativity. Our main challenge is to work with other subjects that share our vision, inspired by avant-garde and pop cultures.
