THE ITALIAN NEW WAVE is a format by C2C that promotes the new Italian music creativity worldwide with showcases and focused initiatives.
ITNW artists, with their unique and innovative production, fit perfectly the attitude and style of C2C, representing an ideal showcase. ITNW productions are therefore centred on original collaborations between artists, encouraging experimentation among the protagonists of the scene thus amplifying its resonance. The promotion of the project benefits from the renewed emphasis on the new and vibrant Italian scene by national media, who follow its developments with increasing interest, as well as foreign ones, that are constantly looking for trends and current phenomena born in traditionally non-core countries for the global music market. ITNW format has been declined into different collaborations with institutions as Barbican Centre (UK), Unsound Festival (PL), Romaeuropa Festival, Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, Combo, FiftyFifty Lab, Castello di Rivoli and Reggia di Venaria, touching New York, London, Milan, Rome, Venice, Brussels and Turin, and it has been featured on The Guardian (UK), NTS (UK), Bleep (UK), Rinse.fm (UK), Rolling Stone, Noisey. One of the most valuable expressions of ITNW purpose to date is The Italian New Wave Annual Summit, an annual meeting of Italian most innovative music and projects.
